Jotted down formulaic plans or instructions for projects. These ideas virtually replace the need for the physical work of art to exist.

Artist Lawrence Weiner's Statement of Intent (1969), reads

"1. The artist may construct the piece.

 2. The piece may be fabricated.

 3. The piece need not be built."

Famously declaring that the artwork resides not in the gesture but in the statement describing the gesture.

These notes also capture my state-of-mind at the time. I always save the original piece of paper on which I wrote; like a special talisman, it has the aura of being there.
